Florida – ankommen, genießen, wohlfühlen. Immer wieder zieht es uns in den Sunshine State, wir könnten uns auch sehr gut vorstellen, ein paar Monate hier zu leben, mal sehen! Es macht uns einfach mega happy und es wird schon eifrig der nächste Trip geplant. Vielleicht ein Haus oder eine Wohnung mieten, ich denke alles ist möglich!
Florida – you arrive and enjoy. We keep coming back to the sunshine state, wouldn’t it be great to just stay here for a few months at a time? It just makes us really happy and we’re already thinking about our next trip. Maybe rent a house or an apartment, who knows.
Eine ganz besondere Stimmung waren die Sonnenuntergänge. Menschenleere Strände und das Meer, es war fantastisch, wir haben es so richtig genossen.
During sunset it was quite the special feeling out in the streets. The beach all empty and the sea oh so beautiful, it was wonderful, we really enjoyed it.
Es war überhaupt sehr wenig los, da es zum Baden doch etwas zu kühl war. Wir hatten so um die 24 Grad, die Wassertemperatur schätze ich auf 22 Grad, also war der Strand wie ausgestorben.
Actually it was really nice and quiet most of the time, maybe because it was still a little bit cold for swimming. The air temperature was around 24°C (about 75°F) and I guess the water temperature must have been around 22°C (about 71°F), so the beach was pretty much empty.
Wir waren nur drei Tage in Florida und davon einen ganzen Tag im Outlet. Ja, ja, ich weiß, genau genommen waren es 10 Stunden. Wir hatten es aber auch in dieser Zeit nicht geschafft, alle Läden zu besuchen, ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit bei diesem Angebot. Wenn Ihr Interesse habt, die Adresse lautet Sawgrass Mills, 12801 W Sunrise Boulevard, Sunrise Florida und die Öffnungszeiten sind von 10:00 bis 21:30. Also Ihr seht, man hat genug Zeit und ich kann Euch sagen, es zahlt sich wirklich aus hier zu shoppen!
We only spent three days in Florida and one entire day of that in an Outlet. Yeah, yeah, I know, ten hours, to be exact. Yet still we didn’t make it into every single store, impossible with that many different ones. If you’re interested the adress is Sawgrass Mills, 12801 W Sunrise Boulevard, Sunrise Florida, it’s open from 10 A.M. to 9:30 P.M. So as you can see you have a lot of time to shop and it really pays off.
Unser Hotel lag direkt am Strand und wir hatten eine fantastische Aussicht. Wir konnten auch den Kreuzfahrtriesen zusehen, wie sie in den Hafen fuhren. Auch unser Schiff legte sehr zeitig in der Früh, es war so ungefähr 6 Uhr, an.
Our hotel was located directly at the beach and we had a lovely view out our window. We could even watch all those ocean giants sail into the harbour. Like our ship which came in very early in the morning, right around 6 A.M.
Ein Überbleibsel von Weihnachten, so etwas findet man auch nur in Florida!
Something to remind you that it’s actually winter, this kind of thing can probably only be found in Florida!
Nichts als Wasser vor unserer Haustüre. Nach drei Tagen war für uns dann Schluss, wir fuhren mit dem Taxi bei strömendem Regen zum Port Everglades, wo unser Schiff auch schon auf uns wartete. Um 16 Uhr legte unser Dampfer ab und wir waren auch schon unterwegs zu unserem ersten Ziel St.Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
Nothing but water at our doorstep. After three days it was over and we took a taxi to Port Everglades where our ship had already been waiting for us. At 4 P.M. she set sail headed straight for our first destination, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
