Wart Ihr schon einmal auf einem? Ich schon, vor ein paar Jahren. In Hamburg ankert ein Kriegs U-Boot, das man sogar besichtigen kann, einen Besuch ist es auf jeden Fall wert!
Have I ever told you that I’m a ship-enthusiast? I don’t care if they are sailing boats, cruise ships, rowing boats or even submarines, I love them all. Actually, have you ever been on one? I have, a few years ago. There’s an old war submarine you can visit in Hamburg, definitely worth checking out.
Vergangenes Wochenende, es war so schön sonnig und warm, beschlossen wir ganz spontan nach Tulln an die Donau zu fahren, von uns aus nur ein Katzensprung.
Bei dem tollen Wetter wollten wir natürlich auch ein paar Fotos machen und so haben wir unsere Kamera auch gleich mitgenommen.
Bei unserem Ausflug sind dann diese Schnappschüsse entstanden.
Last weekend, since it was sunny and warm, we decided to go to Tulln an der Donau, only a few miles away.
And since the weather was so nice, we thought we’d bring our camera along as well.
During our little trip we made these pictures.
Vor Kurzem habe ich mir eine Flared-Jeans gekauft – ganz große Liebe! Kombiniert habe ich diese mit roten Stiefeln und einem Mantel von Nautica. Ich war mir nicht ganz sicher, ob mir eine Flared überhaupt passen würde!
Not long ago I bought Flared-Jeans – my big love! I combined them with red boots and a coat by Nautica. At first I wasn’t quite sure if the flared look would be good for me.
Aber ich kann Euch sagen, ich bin total begeistert, der hohe Stretchanteil macht sie super bequem. Anfänglich war ich etwas skeptisch was die Verarbeitung angeht, aber warum nicht einmal eine Jeans mit ausgefranstem Saum tragen, ich bin doch schließlich eine moderne Frau!
But let me tell you, they are amazing, the large amount of strech material in them makes them really comfortable. I was also a bit sceptical about the manufacture, but hey, why not wear a pair of jeans with frayed edges, I am a modern woman after all!
Leider bläst an der Donau immer ein starker Wind und so hatte ich auch gleich Gelegenheit meinen neuen Kaschmir/Seidenschal aus Mailand auszuführen. Gut war es, denn das kühle Lüftchen war schon etwas unangenehm!
Unfortunately there’s always quite heavy winds at the Danube and so I had a chance to bring my lovely cashmere/silk scarf from Milan. Turns out it was a good idea, the wind was quite chilly that day.
Im Sommer ist Tulln ein sehr beliebter Treffpunkt für Jung und Alt, denn man kann stundenlang die Donau entlang spazieren oder mit dem Fahrrad fahren.
In summer, Tulln is a nice meeting point for young and old, you can walk or ride your bike along the Danube for hours.
Wenn dabei der große Hunger kommt, kann man sich in den zahlreichen Gasthöfen oder Heurigen satt essen.
And when you feel a little bit hungry don’t worry, there’s a lot of little restaurants to meet all your culinary needs.
In Tulln befindet sich ein kleiner Hafen mit ein paar Booten, im Sommer liegen hier auch ein paar hübsche Yachten.
In Tulln you can also find a little harbour with a few boats, in summer there’s usually a couple of pretty yachts there as well.
Mir persönlich gefällt die Stadt Tulln sehr gut, eine schöne Fußgängerzone mit zahlreichen hübschen Geschäften und guten Lokalen ladet zum Bummeln ein.
I personally really like Tulln with its lovely pedestrian zone full of little shops and restaurants, makes you want to stroll around for hours.
Ende August findet in Tulln alljährlich eine Gartenbaumesse statt, viele Besucher aus Nah und Fern kommen deshalb gerne auf einen Besuch vorbei.
At the end of August there’s always a big garden fair in Tulln which draws many visitors from near and far.
