Die schönen warmen Tage haben wir noch genutzt, um am Graben in der Wiener Innenstadt ein paar letzte sommerliche Fotos zu machen. Da mein Mister und ich gerade auf dem Weg zu einem Pressefrühstück waren und auch noch nicht die für den ersten Bezirk typischen Touristenströme unterwegs waren, hat es ganz gut gepasst und wir haben dieses Outfit fotografiert. Leider waren am Morgen die Lichtverhältnisse noch nicht wirklich toll und so sind die Fotos nicht ganz einwandfrei geworden. Da ich Euch aber unbedingt mein neues Kleid zeigen wollte, musste ich es in Kauf nehmen, dass das Bildmaterial nicht ganz perfekt ist.
We used the last couple of warm days to take a few nice summery shots at Graben in the inner city of Vienna. My Mister and I were on the way to a press breakfast and since the streets of Vienna were still quite empty that early in the morning, we decided to take these pictures. Unfortunately the light was quite mundane that day so the pictures did not turn out the way we had hoped. But I really wanted to show you my dress so I had no choice but to simply live with the slightly less than perfect images.
Nun zu meinem Kleidchen. Ich bin eigentlich nur zu Zara gegangen mit dem Gedanken, nun endlich meine bestickte Culotte zu kaufen. Als ich dann so meinen Blick schweifen ließ, sah ich dieses hübsche Ding. Mein erster Gedanke war, „Geh bitte, jetzt im Herbst willst Du Dir noch ein luftiges Sommerkleid kaufen? Bitte tu es nicht.“ Der innere Schweinehund hat gewonnen, wie bei mir leider viel zu oft und schon war es in meiner Einkaufstüte, die Culotte natürlich auch.
About my dress. I actually went to Zara only to buy my embroided pair of culottes. When I looked around I my eyes caught a glimpse of this pretty little thing. My first thought was, „Come on, you want to buy a summer-dress in autumn? Please don’t.“ Well, my shopaholic-self won, as it happens so often, and it went right into my bag, just like the pair of culottes.
Mir gefiel der luftige Schnitt mit der leichten Raffung sofort und auch der sanfte Farbton. Ich würde fast sagen, ein wahrer Allrounder. Das Kleid kann getrost abends zu einem Konzertbesuch, aber auch im Alltag gut getragen werden. Man ist damit einfach gut angezogen, ohne gleich aufgebrezelt zu wirken.
I liked the airy cut with the delicate gathers as well as the colour. I’d almost say, a true all-rounder. You can easily wear this dress at night to a concert, as well as during the day for casual business. It simply makes you look sharp without seeming overdressed.
Eigentlich trage ich sehr selten Kleider, bin doch eher der Hosentyp, aber dieses hier ist super bequem und an heißen Tagen wirklich der perfekte Begleiter. Die verspiegelte Sonnenbrille von Sassyclassy gibt dem Look noch das gewisse Etwas, findet Ihr nicht auch?
To be honest, I don’t wear dresses often, I’m more of a trousers-person, but this one is really comfortable and the perfect companion on warm summer days. The mirrored glasses by Sassyclassy give this look a little more pep, don’t you think?
Kombiniert habe ich das Kleid mit einer im gleichen Farbton gehaltenen O Bag aus Italien. Ihr wisst ja, ich mag diese Taschen ganz besonders gerne und habe sie schon in einigen Farben. Der schöne creme-färbige Seiden/Kaschmir Schal von Faliero Sarti ergänzt das Outfit wirklich perfekt. Die weißen Schuhe (wer uns auf Instagram folgt, kennt sie natürlich schon) habe ich mir im Sale ebenfalls bei Zara gekauft, leider sind sie mir eine Spur zu groß, aber wenn ich mir das kleine Riemchen etwas mit Haarspray besprühe, hält es sehr gut.
I combined the dress with an O Bag from Italy in the same colour tone. You know I really like these bags, I already have quite a few of them. The lovely cream-coloured silk/cashmere scarf by Faliero Sarti complements this outfit nicely. The white shoes (if you follow us in Instagram, you should have seen these already) were a bargain at the Zara sale, they are a little bit to big for me though, but a little bit of hairspray on the straps takes care of that.
