Schon seit vielen Jahren bewundere ich die Modezeichnungen der wunderbaren Megan Hess! Die hübsche Australierin ist Modekünstlerin und arbeitet mit einigen der renommiertesten Modedesignern und Luxusmarken der Welt zusammen. Dior, Fendi, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Valentino und Tiffany – um nur einige zu nennen – zählen zu ihren Kunden. Sie ist ein wahres Talent, wenn es um Mode-Illustrationen geht. Ihre Kunstwerke werden hoch gehandelt und sind heiß begehrt.

I’ve been a fan of the fashion drawings of Megan Hess for years! The pretty Australian is a fashion artist and works with many of the most renowned designers and luxury brands in the world. Dior, Fendi, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Valentino and Tiffany – to name but a few – are her customers. She’s got talent when it comes to fashion-illustrations. Her works of art are worth a premium and are quite sought-after.

Ihre Werke haben Größen von einer Briefmarke bis hin zur Größe eines Gebäudes. Die Arbeiten von Megan Hess kann man zum Beispiel in Luxusschwimmbädern in Dubai, aber auch in zahlreichen Modehäusern in Paris oder New York bewundern.

Her works range from as small as a postage stamp to the size of a building. You can see her art at the luxury swimming pools in Dubai for instance, as well as in many fashion houses in Paris or New York.

Natürlich gibt es aber auch für Museumbegeisterte viele Tipps und auch das Kapitel Essen und Trinken kommt in diesem Buch nicht zu kurz. Außerdem gibt sie uns wertvolle Informationen über exklusive Hotels in New York.

Many of the chapters are about famous New York designers. If you’re into fashion, this book is definitely for you. But also if you like museums, this book has quite a bit to offer, as well as stuff about food and drink. She also gives you some valuable information about exclusive hotels in New York.

Jede Seite dieses einzigartigen Reiseführers ist wunderschön illustriert und schon alleine das Durchblättern macht Spaß. Das hübsch gebundene Buch zeigt uns New York von einer Seite, wie wir sie vielleicht noch nicht kennen. Das Buch spricht sicher nicht jeden an, denn es weicht sehr von einem „normalen“ Reiseführer ab und trotzdem ist es mehr als lesenswert.

Every page of this lovely guide book has great illustrations which makes just browsing through this book a lot of fun. The pretty bound book shows us a side of New York, that we might not be familiar with. It might not be for everyone, it’s not you typical travel guide but that does not make it any less interesting.
