Die Idee zu diesen Bildern kam uns im Urlaub ganz spontan, denn wir hatten zwei Tage lang viel Zeit, da unser Schiff, die Equinox, Kurs auf Fort Lauderdale nahm. Den ganzen Tag nur in der Sonne liegen ist zugegebenermaßen ganz angenehm, aber unsere Haut brauchte auch ein wenig Pause. Deshalb meinte Al, wir machen jetzt ein Shooting und wie Ihr an den Bildern sehen könnt, hatten wir und viele andere total viel Spaß dabei. Und irgendetwas Produktives muss man in zwei Wochen Urlaub doch wohl auch machen…

We had the idea for this shoot during our vacation, we had two days at sea while our ship, the Equinox, was sailing towards Fort Lauderdale. Lying in the sun all day is nice, we’ll admit that, but our skin needed some rest. So Al decided we should do a shoot and as you can see in the pictures we, and many others, had a lot of fun doing it. And you have to do something productive during those two weeks of vacation …

Wir zogen uns ein paar lässige Klamotten über, versuchten unser Haar zu zähmen, viel Make-Up war ja nicht notwendig, denn wir hatten schon schön gebräunte Haut. Unser Fotograf war zufälligerweise auch vor Ort und so konnten wir gleich loslegen.

We put on some cool clothing, tried to tame our hair, didn’t need a lot of make-up since our skin had already been nicely tanned. Our photographer was, quite coincidentally, with us as well and so we started shooting.

Der starke Wind war ein großes Thema und so flatterten uns immer die Haare ins Gesicht. Da es auf jedem Kreuzfahrtschiff Entsalzungsanlagen gibt, ist das Haar sehr weich und da hilft einfach nichts. Egal welche Produkte man auch verwendet, das Haar sieht einfach schrecklich aus, also wundert Euch bitte nicht darüber.

There was quite a bit of wind and so we were constantly getting our hair blown in our faces. Since every ship has a desalination plant your hair tends to get very soft. No matter what products you use, your hair just looks terrible, there was nothing we could have done.
