Begonnen hat unser diesjähriger Sommerurlaub in London und wir haben eine Reihe an Lokal Tipps für Euch mitgebracht.
This year we started our summer vacation in London and we brought lots of restaurant tips for you.
Für unser erstes Frühstück suchten wir uns das Café Rouge in der Wellington Street aus. Gute Portionen zu moderaten Preisen und das Lokal liegt in einer wunderschönen Gegend.
For our first breakfast we went to Café Rouge at Wellington Street. A good amount of food for a reasonable price and a lovely place in a lovely environment.
Eine einzigartige Stimmung herrscht in der Fire Station in Waterloo.
You get a unique feeling when you stop and eat at Fire Station in Waterloo.
Im ehemaligen Gebäude der Feuerwehr herrscht reges Treiben, das Frühstück war auch ganz gut, wobei es uns im Café Rouge besser geschmeckt hat.
Once an actual fire station, this place is now full of people enjoying their food. We had breakfast there as well; it was good, but not quite as good as at Café Rouge.
Und natürlich darf auch das Hard Rock Café in London nicht in unserer Sammlung fehlen. Das Sandwich war zwar ziemlich trocken, aber für mich als The Who Fan ist die Sammlung in London der siebte Himmel!
And of course there is no way we can skip Hard Rock Café London. I have to admit the sandwich was a bit dry – still, for me, as a huge The Who fan, the large collection of memorabilia was quite enough to make it worthwhile.
Unser kulinarisches Highlight erlebten wir allerdings in The Refinery in der Southwark Street.
This little place, located at Southwark Street called The Refinery, was our culinary highlight.
Wunderschön eingerichtet, nettes Personal und fantastisches Essen. Ganz billig ist es zwar nicht, aber es lohnt sich jedenfalls sich einen Besuch dort zu gönnen.
Beautifully furnished, lovely staff and amazing food. It’s not necessarily one of the cheaper places but definitely worth every penny!
Einzig der Geräuschpegel des angrenzenden Barbereichs war etwas störend.
Be warned though, the adjacent bar area may be noisy which can be a bit annoying.
Unseren Londonbesuch ließen wir dann noch gemütlich an der London Riviera ausklingen. Das Areal wurde liebevoll gestaltet, ich war aber etwas überrascht, dass es nur zwei Stände gab.

We finished our visit of London with a nice and relaxing visit to the London Riviera. It’s a lovely little area even though I was a bit surprised that it only consisted of two booths.
