Für dieses Shooting besuchten wir eine ganz besondere Location: Neuhaus im Wienerwald. In der Zeit zwischen 1895 und 1911 war Neuhaus ein mondäner Kurort. Es wurden unzählige Villenanlagen, Medizinalbäder und Hotels erbaut. Auch eine Rollschuhbahn sowie eine Rodelbahn und ein wunderschöner Park mit Teich und Springbrunnen wurden errichtet. Der kaiserliche Hof war häufig zu Gast und auch gesandte des Kaiserhauses. Die betuchte Kundschaft konnte es sich in Neuhaus so richtig gut gehen lassen. Auf Wunsch wurden sie mit Kutschen in die nahe gelegene Kurstadt Baden gebracht um hier Schwefelbäder zu genießen.
For this shooting we went to a very special location, Neuhaus at Wienerwald. Between the years of 1895 and 1911 Neuhaus was a glamorous health resort. Many mansions, spas and hotels were built, as well as a roller-skate track, a sled run and a beautiful park with a pond and a fountain. Even the emperor and his legates visited quite often. Those who had money back in the day would come here to relax and revitalize. They even had horse-drawn cabs ready to take you to the city of Baden (also a health resort) if you wanted to take a sulphur bath.

Einige der alten Villen wurden aufwändig saniert und fanden wieder neue Besitzer, leider aber auch Vieles abgerissen oder umgebaut.
Unsere Bilder entstanden rund um das alte Kurhotel Stephanie, das leider nicht mehr saniert wurde. Das finden wir sehr schade und hoffen, dass sich vielleicht in Zukunft doch noch ein Investor findet, der dem alten Gebäude wieder Leben einhaucht.
In 1914 the project health resort Neuhaus was brought to an abrupt end by the beginning of the First World War.
Some of the old mansions were reconstructed sparing no expense and have been homes to wealthy people ever since. Others did not fare so well, being converted into other buildings or torn down altogether.
These pictures were all taken around the health resort Stephanie, which unfortunately was not reconstructed. It’s quite a shame actually, we hope that someday an investor will be found to give this lovely old building some life and love again.

Der Trenchcoat ist von Burberry und mein ständiger Begleiter. Das Leinenshirt habe ich mir erst vor kurzem bei Massimo Dutti gekauft und in der kurzen Zeit, in der ich es nun trage, ist es eines meiner liebsten Kleidungsstücke geworden.
The trench coat is a Burberry and my constant companion. I got the linen shirt at Massimo Dutti not too long ago but ever since I bought it, I have worn it so many times, it has actually become one of my favourite pieces of clothing.
